The difference between a jet helmet and a demi-jet helmet is the protection offered in the nape of the neck area. Both models can be homologated, but the jet helmet is more protective on the nape and, often, also has a longer visor that protects the face from air, debris and insects. Both models are perfect for summer because they take up little space, are light and fresh. They are well suited for the use on scooters for short distances or city trips, although there are top-of-the-range models that offer complete and high protection in all driving situations.
